Morgan Park

Hey guys! So this last week was another slow one, we didn't have many

appointments go through and our finding efforts weren't fruitful.
However, the Ward is on fire. We had another baptism on Saturday of a
guy named Robin Johal. He's so cool. He's from England and plays
professional Soccer! Robin is so pumped about missionary work, and
can't wait to receive the priesthood and bless the lives of his
friends with it. He has the most stereotypical British accent it's
hilarious hahaha anyway that's about it for this week. Last P-day we
ended up going to the beach instead of going to Indiana (typical poly
planning) and we played some football on the beach.
Last week I took comfort in a phrase from Preach My Gospel that
says "No effort is wasted." The Lord knows our hearts, and what we are
trying to accomplish, and all we need to do is trust in Him and His
timing. There is a man in the ward who is so distraught because he is
suffering through some trying times. After speaking with him more, it
was just the fact that he was suffering that upset him. This man
didn't realize that trials of our faith are just a part of life, and
they help build up our 'spiritual endurance,' so to speak. The work in
our area is really slow at the moment, but as my companion and I
continue to work hard, somewhere down the line there will be success,
whether it be us, or a different set of missionaries, our efforts are
never wasted. Don't ever give up!

Love,
Elder Fa'afetai Phipps
